Carved in stone

Went to Rouen this morning and took so many pictures that in the end I just picked one that could be made into a blip. It's a carving in Notre-Dame cathedral. I would not be surprised if it dates back to the early cathedral history which was built the flamboyant gothic style favoured in the Middle Ages (it is actually my favourite to everything seem to be made of stone lace!) This cathedral is associated with the story of Joan of Arc! Still a "thing" unresolved between the English and the French....well one of many ;-) we are forever our best enemies!
