Offshore wind

On our way to see Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain at the Sage we detoured to South Shields. The wind was stiff to say the least and seemed to blow the waves backwards and sand does get everywhere!

The picture is looking North towards, surprisingly, North Shields on the other side of the Tyne that is obscured by the very long breakwater. The sun came out and the temperature rose a fraction to make a gentle stroll pleasant even back against the gale.
