glasson dock

we parked at glasson dock and then rode the bikes to caton along the old railway line. l would recommend it - lots of interest from the wildlife beside the river to the old buildings on saint george's quay and the bridges. no cafe in caton - business opportunity going - but there is a good cake shop which will also sell you a cup of coffee to drink on the bench along the road. the ride back followed the same path but you can also follow the moorland road to galgate and then down to glasson dock - must try that some time.
many thanks for all the comments yesterday - l had not realised it was blip 500 but am glad the bear starred in it. he has a friend - an owl who may appear later so l can tell their story!
