Ardnamurchan Point
(backblip)
The lighthouse at Ardnamurchan Point is the most westerly point of the British mainland. Reaching it marked almost 50 miles of driving on single track roads snaking along the coast and inland around a loch.
We had lunch and admired the view from inside the cafe, before having a very short and very blustery wet walk to the lighthouse. We retraced our steps to Kilchoan and pitched our tent at the campsite (in the rain) and went for a walk down to the local pub for Fish and Chips night. Fell asleep later to the sound of rain pelting the outside of our new tent!
