It goes this way

Today, the work started on rebuilding the organ that has come all the way from Hull. By the end of the morning most of the pieces on the back wall had been assembled and the frame stood about twelve feet high. We just had to work from photos but I found the problem solving skills required for clock assembly were to some extent transferable. It will take several days to complete the job. There must be more than 100 pipes to install and tune. Then there is no guarantee that all the electrics will work after the journey and there will be some soldering to do. I heard a recording of the organ and it will certainly sound good if we get it working correctly.
