........grass? Pah, no problem..............

Hannah had her first encounter with grass today..........at the same age big sister Charlie was very unnerved by the feel of the grass..........in fact we could leave her on a blanket on the lawn and she wouldn't move off it........no such thing with Hannah....she's a well hard baby!

Glorious day........

Dad got up around 9.00..........the Daughter made him bacon butties for breakfast........then took him to the local garden centre........they got back around 12.00......full of cake and coffee.

The rest of the family came round soon after.......we went off to the "Fun Day" at the local Sports Club............it wasn't all it was cracked up to be............Dad thought the disco was too loud...........but Charlie loved the bouncy castle.......we all had a beer and a burger........and the high spot of the afternoon came when a bloke put his beer down on the grass.............a little lad about three years old.......kicked a tiny football.......left footed......with unerring accuracy........skittled the whole pint......beer everywhere!

Came home about 3.00...........spot decision.............BARBECUE!!!!!!........£30 later out of Tesco with burgers, chicken, salad, bread and beer...........another rare treat for Dad............it's o.k. we saved the Boss a sausage for when she came home from work.

The house is quiet now......Dad has just gone off to bed...he'll sleep after all the fresh air and walking around.......the Daughter has slipped into a pleasantly mellow alcohol induced slumber.......and the Boss and I are watching Guitar Heroes on BBC 4.

All in all a pretty good day...let's hope tomorrow is similar.
