FFF

Interesting day, enjoyed a short visit to my good friend cyclops to deliver calendars and was treated to a tour of his minor domestic disharmonies, one of which at least is now solved!

I was going to post a blip of cyclops but favoured this one, the title refers to a story a GP once told me. He worked in Fife for a while and kept coming across this particular abbreviation in patients' notes; FFF.

When notes were handwritten there were a plethora of abbreviations used, mainly to save time, but occasionally to avoid the patient decoding what the doctor had in mind. For instance TATT, meaning tired all the time, is commonly seen in patient notes but FFF . . .

After a couple of days of repeatedly seeing this abbreviation he finally asked a colleague what it meant and was rewarded with the answer "FFF, oh yes that's Fine Fae Fife"

And in this picture the weather is definitely fine fae Fife!
