Tea caddies with Stories

These tea caddies in our kitchen carry special memories.
The centre one contained tea from the province of Fujian, the renowned tea-growing area capital, and it was given us by the husband of a former student, Yanling, whom we met in Beijing.

Yanling was a reporter with Radio Beijing doing a post-grad at Stirling University and we got to know her through the Host Family Scheme. On hearing we were going to China she insisted on us meeting her husband and daughter.

Today the family live in Australia.

The two Japanese tea caddies, containing mushroom tea, were a present from a visiting Japanese academic.

I wonder if other Blippers have tea caddies with stories?
