Snow Chains

Exactly what was needed today - not for cars but for the pavements.

Finished work today for Christmas and headed out with the hardcore lot for pizza and a small drink then home. All good plans seemed to go inexplicably awry and we ended up in Greyfriars Bobby's for more festive cheer and a nigh-on impossible and stupid pub quiz. Stupid mainly because we came second to some very shouty people.

Throughout the 10 hour lunch it snowed on and off on top of a hard frost, rendering the pavements lethal and almost unwalkable. I skited and teetered my way down the Mound for the bus, limbs intact and wondering, like another blipper, where all the pavement salt was being sprinkled this year.
