I hope I die in the mountains
I have many dreams.
One day I hope to be a master story teller in my own style. Nature, culture, activism, art. A writer, artist, educator, and scientist all rolled into one. This is where I am going. Uncharted and no rules but those I create.
One day I hope to finally be at peace with myself and with all I have seen, experienced, and learned. Nothing to prove. Both empty and full.
One day I hope to have a partner who'll stand by my side and I her's. Two people looking outward in the same direction. Someone courageous with a big heart. True love, faith, trust.
One day I hope to have a family. To be a teacher and provider in the truest sense. Passing on. Accepting the joy of responsibility beyond myself.
One day I hope to have my own land and know it well. Sense of place. A garden full of joy and care. Pets with eclectic names and personalities, chickens, maybe even a goat or cow. And I wish to keep bees as my grandfather did before me.
One day I hope to be the person I aspire to. Living by my values: love, wisdom, compassion, creative expression incarnate in all action and intention.
One day I hope I die in the mountains and my ashes are spread out over the winds.
This is how I see the blueprint of my life stitched like a tapestry before me. I have a long way to go. One day I hope. Over the horizon.
The hardest part is just getting through right now...
