Just past Perry's tree lies The Mill. A house and mill house under a tiled roof, was described as newly-built and fitted up with every convenience for a miller, baker and corn dealer in 1835.
In the early 1900's the mill was still producing flour for bread making and a very large oven is still in place together with 3 floors of milling equipment which now act as quirky features in handsome living accommodation. Milling and bread making ceased in the 1920's.
