Bank Holiday Monday

Today was a bank holiday - so in our household that means cram as much into the day as possible!

Ethan had a big lie-in till 8.30am - wonderful! Apart from the fact we then had a mad dash to get over to Bathgate in time for his N-R-Getix class!

Back home to pick up hubbie, then over to Dalkeith to visit his sister Emma and to deliver belated birthday pressies to 2 of her children. Ethan seemed unusually shy at first but soon came round and then didn't want to leave!

Next stop was Dirleton Castle - Ethan wasn't so enthusiasatic about this one which surprised me. He did however enjoy climbing through the old bread oven and going down to see the pit prison.

By the time we had finished there it was nearly dinner time. So we headed down to North Berwick to see if we could find somewhere to eat there. As soon as Ethan spotted the tidal pool at the beach he wanted to go in. Fortunately I'd brought swim shorts and a towel with me so it wasn't a problem. Of course, the water was freezing, but that didn't stop him jumping in and out for ages! He also enjoyed a walk round the harbour and we did eventually find a nice restaurant to eat in too.
