Record breakers

One of the downsides (actually make that the only downside!) of the fella moving in is that he has a lot of stuff. And I mean a lot. His parents kindly agreed to store things in their garage while we sorted it so over the last 6 months we've slowly been going through it. Piles for the loft, the charity shop, the bin and of course the house have been generated but we weren't sure what best to do with 2 boxes labelled records. So last night we went round to a friend's house who is a bit of a vinyl geek buff to get his advice.

I think it's fair to say none of us were expecting much and thought they would only be good for a bootsale but it turns out it's quite a good collection! Most of the records are in mint condition despite being from 60s onwards and are a good mix of artists and worth a decent amount. Unfortunately the two most damaged sleeves belonged to the two rarest / most valuable records - one by Cream and one by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Our friend was genuinely excited to have touched such rare records!! So eBay here we come - let's see how much they'll all get. Might have to start looking at the fella's stuff in a different light now!

Rest of the day was good too - some chilling followed by a photo shoot! My sis bought me a bump and baby experience for Christmas and today I had the bump photoshoot. Not seen the results yet but I enjoyed myself and hopefully they'll be good.

And hospital bag still not packed
