Woodland Fairies

No 3 woke up at 6.30 and demanded her breakfast. Next, she asked to play on Sims. Hard to deny her anything when she is obviously on the mend.

She asked her biggest sister how to get the lady on Sims pregnant. No 1 told her that she had to go to the adoption agency. Pheow! A few years back No 1 was playing Sims and she was called in to dinner. After ten minutes she rushed away from the table - "I've left them in the hot tub - they'll make a baby if I don't get them out now".

I'm not going back in that Hot Tub across the road again !

There was an organised walk to the Dell, to celebrate children's week. There would be Fairies and music in the woods, a man on stilts and a green lady. Who could resist!

What a disaster. They were completely unprepared for the numbers. After 45 mins we had walked about 100 yds, kids were crying, kids were 'bored', kids couldn't see because of the adults crowding in. The path only allows for about 3 at a time and the queue was endless. The 'fairy' organisers were running up and down the massive queue trying to organise community singing and talking to kids in voices that were getting higher and higher pitched as they got more stressed.

Imagine a kids event organised by adults who don't have kids - you get the picture!

We executed an escape over the bridge singing the song from 'The great escape'.

For all we know - they could all still be in the woods - the queue snaking back for miles.

Here's a cute little fairy. One of the only nice things about the walk !
