Lost in space / a quickie!
Firstly, thank you so very much for the stars and hearts for my scratching squirrel. I burnt my head floating up to the ceiling and hitting the Spotlight for the second time ever. I was delighted and so surprised! This just goes to show that if you feel like a scratch, carry on! You never know where it will get you. I gave the squirrels extra nuts today as a thank you.
Right! I will be quick(ish).
I am supposed to be doing four days per week at home now with just one in the office. This is so my move to permanent home/anywhere working can be slid in gradually without a messy contract change. My current manager asked me last week how the four days were going and I told him that I had done two weeks of threes and two weeks of fives which does actually make four weeks of fours! Confused? So was he but never mind as nobody minds as long as someone knows where I am....
Anyway, I stayed in the house today, especially as my dreams last night were troubled with exploding wood pigeons and rattling rails. It's a long story and this is a quickie, so don't ask.
I wasn't lost in space today. The grandly titled 'Cyber Intelligence Agency' rang me (from Mumbai or somewhere similar I guess as the man on the phone never said).
'Is that Miss Wood? My name is Colin - yeah right! - and we can detect serious problems with your computer having dangerous viruses!'
'Really??' I said. 'Oh my!'
'Yes!' said Colin. 'I need to control your machine for a small fee and I can help you greatly!'
'Wow! Great!' I said. 'Just give me your telephone number and my employer THE GOVERNMENT will be delighted to ring you back for your services....Hello? Are you still there?'
Funny that the line went dead....
These two little birds caught my eye today.
Go large on these...
