In the pink...

...is how I feel today after a really super day off. I dyed my roots first thing. The first time I've done it when I need to rather then putting it off. Another sign that I'm getting my mojo back.

I bombed over to C's and had an amusing half hour with T-bone who had great fun playing with some chicken for his lunch. While Teddy slept, C and I had a lovely time outside the back of her gorgeous house in the sun; chatting; watching the Alpacas watching us and a cute fledgling goldfinch in the pear tree and soaking up the rays. That will have done my Vitamin D levels some good but maybe not the wrinkles as I forgot my sunnies. Eh well...

We dropped Teddy off at his childminder (first time ever) and whizzed off to the National Herb Centre to take C's mind off it. There was a great little art exhibition and sale with the two artists present and I think I may well pop back at the weekend and buy some. I have a (possibly rather pretentious and middle class) personal policy of only ever buying original art not prints which stops me buying crap and ensures that I only ever buy stuff I like enough to part with a reasonable amount of cash for. So, I'll have to check the reserves to see if I can justify anything for myself. Otherwise, I think I may well find some prints for some birthdays. Is it wrong that my policy does not extend to presents for others?!

We learned a lot viewing, sniffing and touching the many different varieties of herbs, but it was this clematis flower that had to be my blip. (Like gilesey I forgot my camera charger (school girl error) so it is a surprisingly pleasing iPhone shot).

I had to dash to get to the head shrink but I'd bargained without major roadworks at the M6/M1 junction. For one who is always at least 10 minutes early for everything, I started to get quite annoyed but managed to bring it down quickly.

The weather today has been glorious and much of the countryside I drove through was nothing short of idyllic. Lucky me. The diet's been fine today so onwards and downwards. Another night in for me. Nothing new there.
