Happy

I have mixed feelings about the school's systems of awards and rewards. But at the end of a slightly rocky week, it was a lovely thing to find in Little G's book bag a certificate for being "special person" this week. He was also delighted.

We went to the pub for tea, to join his best friend and family for a birthday meal. His friend didn't know we were coming, and the grin on his face when we arrived was a proper treat. Great to see them playing happily together - a lovely and relaxed way to end the week.
