A Whole Lot of Stuff

It seems wherever we turn in the US there is just more stuff to buy and lots of people to buy it. As it happens, this is one of the better stores, Wholefoods where we buy some of our organic or certainly more natural comestibles. Just after I took this photo though, something interesting happened. You can see the Vanity Fair magazine by the checkout and the party of 3 (Lady and 2 girls) were drawn inevitably to the cover with William and Kate, proceeding to pore over the magazine whilst waiting for the line to move. It struck me as strange how these Texans were enthralled by our British royalty, as it has so often done in the past. In the end some combination of celebrity adoration and a lack of real history seems to draw many who hail from the US to our monarchy. And here's yours truly - don't know what all the fuss is about!
