Stepford tendencies

I have just spent ages cutting each of these roses to a specific length so that they will create a little 'cap' on this goldfish bowl. Ages!

I have even frightened myself in my determination to have the roses arranged just so. I wonder if the Ards Man has been putting something in my tea?
