Saturdays summer party

This is the table laid at Nellies house for her 'come over for a little BBQ party'.

Luckily I had been to the gym in the morning. We all went off to the school summer fair, I had the best summery seat taking the money as people came in. It was a very sociable seat and I had a good laugh with everyone. I dashed off to the shops after the fair, dashed home, marinated lots of chicken for the Lebanese dish I blipped a couple of weeks ago, made 2 Victoria sandwich cakes, got us all changed and arrived at Nellies at 6pm.

Her garden was transformed, a beautiful table above, but she had also moved her lounge, sofas, coffee table and lamps outside too and the cows were hanging over the fence watching with interest. The shoffice at the bottom of the garden had unlimited art stuff laid out for the children, they were happily occupied with buckets of glitter all evening. I was busy in the kitchen and then suddenly we were all sat down at the beautiful table chatting, eating and I felt like I was in a John Lewis advert! Just a lovely Saturday evening, thankyou Nellie.
