........Good boy, Rodders..........

Rodders and Sue, the lovely partner of the Boss' youngest brother.

Knee very painful last night after 5 hours driving.......so a co-codamol at 10.30 and off to bed.

Slept right through until 5.30.....first time in ages that I've managed 6 hours sleep.

Into the bathroom...and it dawns on me...I'm still feeling the effects of the co-codamol.......completely away with the fairies!

I might not be fit to drive!........however a cup of coffee seems to bring me round.....and I set off to collect Shaun.

The day is lovely....warm and sunny.......a sausage butty at the lake side..........we are fishing a long ribbon lake........I draw peg 2....the second longest walk.

I set up my box at a comfortable height for my knee..........every 15 minutes or so I stand up to straighten the knee...the fishing is good....I end up with 17lb 15oz...my best ever match weight..........I come 4th!.............and win my section so I get my stake money back!.......but I'm not walking well.

As I arrive home I notice that we have visitors.........and more arrive as I park up.

The Boss and the Daughter are home........the Son and Heir, Young Helen, Charlie and Hannah are in residence..... and the Boss' youngest brother, Rob, his partner Sue and their new chocolate Labrador pup have called in.

We have a great time......and eat a wonderful meal together.....in the garden.....in the sunshine.............but all the time my knee is getting worse and worse.

They all leave around 8.00.........Derek phones......... but I can't walk up to the pub......and I can't drive.....I've already had a couple of beers..........so it's post my blip.....more co-codamol......and off to bed in the hope I will be ok in the morning.

I know one thing I won't be able to do at work tomorrow...........an hours invigilation....walking round an exam room.

Das vidanya moy padruga.
