Clematis
Was all out of sorts today, kept thinning it was Wednesday, as I've swapped the days I work this week.
Was feeling a little down this morning, and very tired due to munchkin 2's disturbed sleep. So what better way to cheer myself up, than a spot of retail therapy and a coffee date with a friend and colleague, and of course Little Miss E, who was treated to a nice new big girl school bag. I also did treat myself to a few small items ;)
While E had her nap this afternoon, I set about having a play around with a stairwell shot I took on Saturday. When I took it I had in mind some of Escher's graphic artwork, which I loved when I was studying art at school. Heres the result, still work in progress, so not sure if it works. Abstract
Another colleague, C, who wears many hats, least of all my hairdresser who works her magic every now and then (under strict supervision not to cut TOO much off) came round to knock 10 years i should be so lucky off me. She also did Little Miss E's crazy curly locks, and she sat ever so nicely. Then proceeded to do C's hair. Sadly C is very camera shy, but one day I will have her in front of my lens, and when I do I won't have to work magic, her face will do all the work.
I'm afraid its bit of a lazy Blip from this morning, of my lovely Clematis, which has had a few spots over the years in my garden, has finally bloomed. May is most definitely my favourite time of year, everything is so alive and lush.
As Munchkin 2 is now at cubs, I'm going to enjoy some quiet time reading mu book.
