New Year's Eve: Sledding!

Like little kids, we hoped for snow the entire time we were at the cabin. Unluckily, the town of Arnold was just below the snow line at about 3,500 feet.

Today, we loaded up the car - my trusty civic that did VERY well on the trip - and headed up to the next town in search of some snow.

We didn't find a place that was quite steep enough but we gave it our best shot anyway. Mel was clearly the best sledder of the bunch.

After about 30 minutes, we decided we had enough of the cold and headed back to town for a few beers at the Snowshoe Brewery.

We spent the rest of New Year's Eve playing games around the dining room table. Mel's dad cracked us all up during Cranium when he role played the word "Breakdance". He even tried to spin on his head and kick his feet up in the air while attempting to do a one arm stand. For a 65 year old man he was surprisingly nimble!

We toasted the New Year's at midnight - 2010 is definitely going to be a great year!
