Ripening figs
The figs are swelling nicely. Last year's attempt to preserve them frozen in syrup was unsuccessful. This year I might try boiling them in a little honey and lemon, mashing and them using and freezing the resulting purée. Today has been warm and sunny but many places in France have had violent storms. This morning we had a few chores to do in town but took the opportunity to celebrate Mrs TT's birthday with coffee and cake.
