Great Carrs
More Lakeland fells....
Starting from Coniston, we horsed onto the ridge of Wetherlam, then trotted over Black Sail and up the scrambly ridge to Swirl How. On the way to Great Carrs, we passed the site of a wartime aircrash which bears the sad remains of a Royal Canadian Air Force Handley Page Halifax bomber.
Onwards to Grey Friar, Brim Fell, Coniston Old Man and then Dow Crag. there were some wonderful views today, and lots of people on th hills enjoying them.
