Busy doing nothing.....
I have been an extremely lazy cow today. Well I was doing nerdy computer rubbish getting my non work laptop which I am using for work when I am here perfect. I took Avast off which is the free anti virus stuff I put on last time and put Norton on as I had a spare licence.
Avast had installed all sorts of junk full of adverts at the same time and the dratted thing wouldn't go without a fight! I'm happy with it now and have restarted the machine six times checking.
Mom ran out to mass early as it was the anniversary of either her own mother's death or her mother's birthday. Sorry, I wasn't listening properly! Maybe I am more like my dad than I realised. He could successfully tune mom out while looking rapt with attention when in fact he was thinking of washing his balls for golf the next day. You could only get his real attention by mentioning money and then he'd shoot upright and really listen.
Did I ever tell you about the Toblerone? He loved those pointy bars and he saw they were on special offer at Morrisons once so he added three to his trolley when he was doing the weekly shop. Being a very careful man, he always checked his receipts when he got home. Horrors! He saw he'd been charged full price for his dratted chocolate. He got the car out and went straight back to Morrisons where he was told that they were very sorry but the cheap price deal had expired the day before. Anyway, he gave them the Toblerone back and demanded a refund! He got it too and ignored me telling him that the cost of fuel that the journey there and back was probably the cost of ten full price Toblerones! It was the principal with him.
Every time I see a Toblerone even now, I still smile.
Mom got back from mass around one and then it poured with rain for most of the rest of the day. My brains are screaming to escape after having sat through three episodes of Highway To Heaven - I liked Michael Landon - and a dreadful drama about Joan of Arc. I won't trust myself to say more about that. Did she have to have such a dreadful hairstyle? The heavy rain caused the satellite picture to break up at one stage and mom moaned 'Oh no! I hope the picture comes back before she gets burned at the stake!'
Heehee! Nice!
Track? I've had my head down reading or writing things on the iPad a lot of the day. The title of this song by Argent is what mom has said to me several times - Hold Your Head Up
