It's a Vatican day.

I've been to Vatican over 10 years ago, but I didn't remember much as I was jet-lagged at that time.

This time I have much more time to explore and take in the magnificent surroundings. I was blown away by the scale and splendor of the entire area. The Sistine Chapel alone was worth it all. My neck was sore from staring at the ceiling and appreciating Michelangelo's dazzling display of talent. I was even choking up a bit at the sight of The Creation of Adam.

We got inside St. Peter's Basilica just in time to catch the beautiful rays of light shining in through the dome, as if He was looking down at His people, saying "Welcome home my children"

Our evening celebration dinner was amazing. The food was great, but it was even better reminiscing with old friends and making new memories.
