The Coast

Today we took an excursion to Pompeii followed by a visit to the beautiful Sorrento.

We only scratched the surface of the archaelogical riches Pompeii offers. To walk inside a city that existed a thousand years ago, entirely frozen in time, was one of the highlights of our trip. We were impressed by the sophisticated civilization of the Roman life at that time, and we're surprised at how humanity is similar across the centuries.

After the ancient ruins of Pompeii, Sorrento offers a nice change of scenery. We couldn't get enough of the breathtaking views from the vantage points. So jealous of the people swimming in the clear aqua water down below.

Tomorrow will be our last full day in Rome...
