CannyScot's Day

Sailing on the Tay

After a lovely lunch in Broughty Ferry at Jessie's Kitchen (highly recommended) we went down to the water front. We watched this little dinghy tacking its way in fairly light wind.

Across the river is Tayport - a long, narrow little town with lots of narrow streets and steep hills.

Tomorrow we set off on the first leg of our holiday. We stop off near Kyle of Lochalsh, where we will probably cross over on the Skye Bridge, just to have done it! On Sunday, we head up north via Plocton, Loch Maree, Gruinard Bay and on to Ullapool, where we will catch the Ferry over to Stornoway.

I don't know how good the Internet connection will be when I am on Lewis but I shall certainly be taking lots of photographs. I most likely will not be able to comment on all your Journals. If I can't get online - 'I shall return' by Monday 9th June.

In the meantime, if you would like to see some flowers I saw today, including a bee - head over to the Flikr set.
