Neglect your strawberries, this is what happens
I predicted a busy day and that's just what happened. First a visit to the gym calling in at the supermarket and petrol station on the way back. Before lunch printing out maps of walks for next week.
After lunch the pace hots up: clean and Hoover the car ready for tomorrow (don't know why, it's only going to get dirty on a long journey)
No rest as we're off to the allotment to throw in some courgettes, sweet corn and peas and to harvest the first broad beans and more radishes. These strawberries have been left to their own devices this year, look at them now. More fruit than we've ever had before.
Back to plant out a couple of cucumbers, do the salad and omelette for tea and sandwiches tomorrow. Finally, pack up the food for tomorrow and last but not least, bottle this years batch of elderflower champagne.
