Well, hello and good to see you again

This shot was taken from the balcony of our holiday accommodation in Perranporth in Cornwall. Susan looks on as Debs in the middle greets Marion our Canadian friend whom she has not seen since our last holiday together a year ago.

This is the third consecutive May holiday our group of 8 to 10 people have had. The previous two have been at Eslington Hall in Northumberland but this year we had a change of location. We look for a 5 bed place with 5 bathrooms so this place fits the bill exactly. We were recommended this place by KJD who had stayed here last year and enjoyed the experience. Thanks KJD, a very good recommendation.

The journey down was mixed. Fine until Stonehenge and fine afterwards but a 4 mile jam delayed us for about an hour. Seems like road alterations on the A303 around Stonehenge have created more of a jam than there used to be - for no apparent reason as when we reached the Longbarrow Roundabout the traffic disappeared and we were on our way again.

Despite all this we arrived at 4.15pm just as the cleaners where leaving after making the place spic and span for us. And a very good job they did too.

It was a lovely evening, we sat on the balcony, enjoying the view and tea before heading off to the New Inn for our evening meal. Not a bad pub either. A long walk is in order for tomorrow I think.
