Algeciras

It has been a long and very productive day, without any opportunities for more than just an iPhone snap.

But we did spend a very enjoyable few hours wandering around the Spanish port of Algeciras, some 30 minutes from home.

The purpose of the trip was to find me a suit for the forthcoming formal dinners at school. One of the downsides of my new healthy lifestyle is that I have lost nearly a stone in weight (another to go at least!) and now none of my clothes fit me.

Indeed, my dinner jacket looks like a sack of spuds and just will not do any more.

And so we found a wonderful gents outfitters in Algy, which came up trumps with a suit that can be dressed up with black tie and down with all sorts. And a few minor alterations will all be done by Thursday, in time for the Year 11 dinner the next day at El Oceano in La Cala, venue of many family occasions in the past and more than a few blips too.

Now it's time for a bit of slob in front of the TV.
