Flynn
Prezzie shopping this morning whilst Mr EG barrowed some concrete at James and Lynne's (and ate a lot of bacon and drank a lot of tea by the sounds of it). Painting the playhouse this arvo. Its going to take quite a few coats to get rid of the bright orange. The kids were fab and played on the patio - fenced off from the paint by the chicken fence - whilst we got on with it.
Then up to the allotment to earth up the potatoes and clear a few weeds. Mr EG strimmed the worst down and then had a go with the rotavator. Was hilarious - he made it across the allotment once before he was puffing and panting with the effort. The rotavator was an ebay bargain - it works perfectly well but it is very old and heavy, our allotment isn't that flat and its very very weedy!
Lots of offers of free plants off our neighbours and other allotment holders which is good as we've hardly sown any seeds. Need another afternoon up there clearing before we can plant anything. Toby loves it up there so much and Eva had a nap (!!!) even though the strimmer was making a right racket. The sun came out and we had a really good time up there.
Got to the stables at 7pm with big plans to ride. Gutted to find the tack room locked up so had to lunge instead - again. Lime seemed really lethargic tonight. He's probably bored of going in the school too as its the third time this week. Didn't get any pictures of him so took one of Flynn instead who watched us lungeing from his stable.
Then home to start the invoicing. Saturday nights out are a distant memory!
