The inside ledge...........

After a frenetic weekend in the big city it was great to be back on the coast.
A rainy afternoon and a very wet sunset which sort of fizzled after a quick drive up to Newcastle and back for a hospital visit....
Out on the ledge the rock is higher on the ocean edge then slopes downwards into the rocky cove. This means breakers hit the ledge then trickle in as the tide advances. There was a pretty big swell happening which was stirring things up quite a bit.
Once each wave washed over it made quite mesmerising swirls as it ran along the fractured shelf and dumped back into the ocean. Yet again my plummy gumboots earned their keep :)
It was tempting to stay and play with these water patterns...but life beckons!
