My Wild Irish Rose.

The very first one. They'll be here in force shortly.
For once I'm stuck for a story, so I'll have to tell you about yesterday.
I was in my local hardware shop buying bamboo canes and there was a young woman (early twenties) buying up all the weapons of mass destruction she could carry. She bought wasp killer, ant killer, slug pellets, fly spray, and a variety of pharmaceutical weed killers. She left with a determined look on her face.
She obviously regards her garden as a battleground. It must cost her a fortune and be a constant source of anxiety. I prefer to leave that kind of thing to the birds.
Come to think of it, what effect do all those chemicals have on the birds?
