The View from The Shard

London's highest and best view "The View" is situated at the top of The Shard on floors 68,69 and 72 and is almost twice the height of any other viewing platform in London, From the top we had 360 degree views for up to 40 miles. A lift took us to level 68 to a totally enclosed viewing platform and we climbed to 72 to the open to the elements platform (it still had high glass walls I hasten to add). Weather was not kind to us but I hope the blip relays how high we were. Incidentally Tim HATED it!!! He went white as a sheet and held on to the walls at all times. He regained his colour on terra firma! Oh! I must say if you ever get the chance to visit do it is truly amazing but you MUST visit the ladies - most definitely the loo with a view and NO blinds!!!
