at home with an Ivysaurus

Ivyzilla!

Ivy loves knocking down towers of blocks- she pounced on them from a distance.

Glad we went to the beach yesterday- the weather was rubbish today. It was meant to be good till Wednesday and I was drawing up grand plans to let Ivy play in a paddling pool in the garden this afternoon, she ended up playing in the nursery with Euan instead.

Euan spent this morning in his office upstairs (a room formerly known as the box room) doing preparation work for the new term. I'm going to have to teach Ivy that when he's working in there he's not to be distrubed- even though it has no door.

Over lunch we tried to teach Ivy to sign for 'drink'. She's got a bit over attatched the sign please and believes it is the key to getting whatever she wants- I think if we keep working at it she'll work out eventually she can say other things.

She was very fractious this evening- not even biscuits, boob or daddy dancing would keep her happy for long. However as soon as we sat down for dinner- she was happy as a lamb again. No idea why, it wasn't that she was hungry (we'd been offering her food), clearly she just likes dinner time. I'm amazed by the tiny tiny morsels of food she can pick up between her thumb and first finger and put in her mouth. I don't think I could eat individual crumbs the way she can.
