Winter larder for the birds

The Pyracantha on my shed is weighed down with blossom. It will produce plenty of red berries for the birds next winter. It is full of bees making the most of so much nectar. Rained this morning, but it was warm rain.
Had to go to the chemist this afternoon and somehow found myself in a shoe shop and bought some sandals. How did that happen?
