An Artist's Life

Don't Fence Me In....

Just an intriguing little piece of fencing. Apparently its cattle are elsewhere.

Sometimes it's just the sort of day where you find a path and follow it....always keeping the mountains in sight lest they lose themselves. The benign front of this range is an illusion, as Lewis & Clark found. Once you get to the top they are endless....mountain after mountain...range after range with convoluted valleys that block the sun...disorienting the unwary hiker or hunter. It's a haven for the great grizzly bear, the black bear, moose, elk, cougar, bobcat, lynx and wolverine. The hundreds of smaller animals skitter about and add their chirrup to the birds. Walking is still confined to the valley floor for now as some canyons are still full of knee to waist high snow. That's ok since I have these two shows to do. They'll wait for me...they always do.
