Broken

20.2C starting with haar and very damp. Clearing at lunchtime and becoming sunny. Zephyr.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. To save me getting wet trousers and shoes again we went down the road to the shore then down to the beach. We walked along towards Easthaven, turning at the burn before coming back along to Westhaven. There was one dog walker on the beach today.

It was pleasantly warm. I stopped for a seat on the broken bench at the edge of the beach by the fishermen's huts. Maeve stood beside me. Like a good assistant she insisted on showing you the bench.

I was hoping to get the front lawn mowed before we head West tomorrow morning but there is still too much moisture on it for an electric mower after last nights rain. No doubt it will be several inches high by the time we get home.

Later I watered all the big pots with Courgettes, and did the heavy watering and tray filling in the greenhouse. Lots of watering cans !
