We will remember them...
Work was busy and most fulfilling today. Whilst I didn't get my urgent matter over the line, I did all I could and it will happen on Monday. I sorted out a temporary fix for the clients who are happy, I think. My assistant annoyed the hell out of me with some really sloppy, thoughtless and rushed work that took me twice as long as she spent on it to correct it. It's wearing a little thin. However, she was out all afternoon which was probably just as well...
On getting home, I made the bed for my weekend guests, cleaned the bathroom, mowed the grass and tidied up the garden, which look surprisingly good. Just waiting for the much vaunted storms to arrive now...
I'm now ready for the weekend and catching up on Nashville...
Today with my blip, I am remembering all those men who fought and died on the Normandy beaches 70 years ago today, so that we can live in freedom from tyranny the way we do today. I couldn't find a poppy this evening so to their memory and in gratitude I've blipped a beautiful tiny pink rambling rose, the first to open this year on a plant I bought last year from Waterperry gardens.
