Musings of a Mortal

Edinburgh Trams

Well they are finally up and running after years of delay and just a "few pounds" over budget and today i decided to take Jonathan for a wee trip into the city on one of them.

We caught it at the Gyle shopping centre and headed into the heart of the capital.

Just a few wee hiccups along the way - one which being you had to buy a ticket BEFORE getting on!! ooops and then when buying a ticket you had to have the correct change (none given at the machine) - also minumum cost that a machine will accept a card is £3 (Adult single £1.50 child single is 70p - you do the maths!!) and a ticket is only valid for 30mins from point of buying it until you hop onto a tram!!!!!

I think it has the potential for being a great way of getting from the west of the city into the centre.....but there are many simple improvements that need to be made to make it "Alot more friendly"

Saying all that we had a great trip.....and this is our tram just about to take us back to our starting point at the gyle.
