Decay
A couple of days ago I shot a single poppy (within a field full of them) and with it talked about it's representation of those who had "fallen" to give us freedom.
When I was in the field, I picked a couple to bring home. Alas they did not last that long..but the idea was that once they were "dead", then the seeds would be extracted from them and scattered in the garden to produce new life the following year.
And how often within nature, in order for something to grow again it first has to die, lie dormant and then it will burst forth with life once again.
And as with us as well, in order for us to grow, we may at times have to let something "die" whether that be a job, relationship, or habit - not always easy, yet the "fruit" that can be produced from that moment can be, and often is...amazing.
