Rose window

This afternoon and evening I attended a Come & Sing event in Killearn Kirk, which is home to this beautiful stained glass window.

The event was organised by the Strathendrick Singers as part of Killearn Hoolie Week and involved rehearsing several songs from various musicals, then performing them to an audience of family and friends later. It was great fun, if a little chaotic and stressful, particularly for those of us who can't read music.

There was a tea-break with lovely baking provided by choir members, then during the interval between rehearsal and performance some of us popped across the road to the pub for a light meal with liquid refreshment, all of which helped to make it a super occasion.

For anyone interested I've posted a collage of some of the ceramics on sale at yesterday's Potfest onto my blipfolio. Click here.
