An update for you. Mantelpiece Clock.
In my first blip, I said that I had prepared the wood to its rough size.
This is now the exact size I want for the clock to be mounted. I have drawn accurate circles and the one the silver rim of the clock is covering will be where the rim will be on the finished product.
All the wood within this circle will be removed, and the clock then fitted after I have sealed and polished the inside of the hole made.
The wood between the silver rim and the outer circle will be around the clock, all the wood where I have drawn lines from will also be removed. The base remains as shown.
I will be making the hole for the clock and taking away the excess wood around where I have drawn thus revealing the final shape.
Before I do any finishing to it I will blip another shot of it, hoping what I have explained becomes that much clearer.
When all this has been done I will sand, seal and polish it to complete the project.
Hope you are all well and that you all have a nice weekend.
Take care.
