Cool, windy and the only insect in town...

Warmer Light.

Most of the day was dreary and overcast. Then as evening started, the sun popped out but the temperature remained in the 50's and the breeze was pretty brisk. So the insect activity was all but nonexistent in these cool conditions. What strange weather for a mid-June evening; we are even predicted to have frost tonight!

Fortunately for me, this bumble bee needed nectar and braved the cool but sunny evening environment. I love the natural light just before sunset. My garden is surrounded by tall trees, so it's hard to catch light on the flowers at this late hour... It's fleeting, as it passes between the branches of the trees... But it's worth the wait and nice when it hits a subject like this one. :))

Happy weekend everyone!
