Baton Relay

After a very lazy morning this morning, I took my folks to the Commonwealth Games Baton Relay this afternoon at the Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens.

We saw a whole raft of entertainment, from Anna McLuckie (of The Voice fame), to Rury (a Scottish folk band) and we all attempted to do a mass pop-up Haka. Attempted.

This is Alex Arthur carrying the baton onto the stage, with Edinburgh Castle in the background. Alex won the gold medal for Scotland in Featherweight Boxing at the 1998 Commonwealth Games.
