One little dickie bird sitting in the rain
Well we have had drizzle and VERY heavy downpours all day today. So much rain the gutters could nt cope and the water was gushing out.
The poor birds were finding it hard to deal with and for some reason they kept banging into the window. No deaths but there could have been. One chaffinch collapsed to the ground just as the heavens opened , I could nt bare to watch it getting soaked so went outside and managed to move it into the arbour. It took about another hour before it had gained it's senses and fly away.
This young dunnock has been hopping around the garden and has a good vantage spot on the fence.
More baby starlings arrived to day and I'm sure the adult impersonated the woodpecker cry to make the other birds fly off.
