TGI Ffffffrench lavender...

... which looks and smells divine by one of my garden benches. I experimented with loads of impressionist shots of the lavender today but settled on this one instead as it really brings out the essence of a Midsummer's summer evening I think. I can't quite believe it's the longest day tomorrow though. The nights will start drawing in again.... That can't be right, the year has only just begun.

Long but good day at the office today.

After a quick food shop on the way home, I've relaxed by taking some shots in the garden; watching and listening to a gloriously mellifluous song thrush perched at the tip top of my blue spruce tree; catching the News Quiz and the Archers (scandalous but we all saw it coming) while reclining on my bed; and am now nearly fully wound down to what looks like being a lovely weekend...
