Buzios

We took a bus to Buzios from Cabo Frio. Buzios was a sleepy fishing village until the 60s when BB, or Brigitte Bardot decided to come there as a refuge to the crazy publicity that followed her first films. Needless to say the paparazzi followed her to Buzios - and the villagers are grateful - for the most part - for the change that has taken place with the village ever since.

Today Buzios looked like a picturesque fishing village with lots of tourists, mostly Brazilian, I think. It was a rainy day, but that did not take away the charm that this place possesses. We found a nice hammock that we can hang on the verandah of Tyven- unfortunately it also weighed a lot.

Tomorrow towards Fortaleza via Brasilia, the capital city.
